Matthew Day Jackson’s “The Burghers of Calais” at Hauser+Wirth for WSJ
Had fun last week covering the installation of Matthew Day Jackson’s very large bronze sculpture “The Burghers of Calais” at Hauser+Wirth Gallery on West 18th St in Chelsea. The artists and his team were fantastic to watch, a real treat to see skilled craftsmen hard at work!
The final result is here and the whole show opened last Friday so go on by Hauser+Wirth to see the entire show.

Kiyomizudera in Kyoto

The Jade Hotel for Wallpaper* Magazine
Shot the stylish new Jade Hotel on West 13th St in NYC for our friends at Wallpaper* Magazine. With interiors designed by Andres Escobar & Associates this hotel is already the cooler than cool place to be.
Amangiri Resort for Conde Nast Traveler
Conde Nast Traveler sent us to southern Utah to shoot the Amangiri Resort for their 2013 Gold List Issue and we are thankful they did. If you’ve never been to that part of the country it’s an experience I can recommend without hesitation. A beautiful and serene landscape, truly peaceful and awe inspiring.
Jem Cohen at the MacDowell Colony for Wallpaper* Magazine
Just rewatched Jem Cohen’s fantastic 1996 film “Lucky Three” with Elliott Smith and it reminded me of these shots I did of him at the MacDowell Colony in New Hampshire for Wallpaper Magazine
